What was your introduction to the Finance industry?

I was introduced to the finance industry during my time at Ohio State, where I was very involved within the business school and with finance organizations on campus. I was initially interested in investment banking, and after a few internships with local investment banks, decided to pursue bulge bracket investment banking the summer after my junior year. The internship went well and I learned a ton, so I returned to the same bank after graduation and have been working in finance ever since.

What type of impact are you hoping to make in the ACE community?

I hope to be a trusted resource and friend to women as they also navigate the finance industry. I also hope to share in topics around wellness while balancing a demanding career through my blog @wallstreetwellness.

When and why did women empowerment in finance start to become an important issue for you?

Women empowerment in finance is important to me because women bring such a valuable and well-rounded perspective to the table in the investing world. However, there aren't enough of us that are staying the course and making it to senior levels within the industry.

I believe that through empowerment, community and candid conversations about the female experience in finance, that can change and more women will choose to stay in the industry and ultimately be leaders in the field.

What inspires you and keeps you motivated?

That literally anything can happen in your life when you work hard, do the right thing, and are kind to others.
