Teresa Teodori
Teresa Teodori is the Senior Vice President of Americas Private Equity at Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG), a knowledge marketplace that connects clients to insights from 700,000+ experts to make better business decisions. She has commercial responsibility for many of GLG's largest enterprise private equity relationships, and oversees the service team dedicated to delivering. Prior to this, Teresa served as Head of Strategy and Chief of Staff to the CEO at GLG, where she worked closely with the CEO and broader leadership team to define the strategic agenda and priorities for driving growth.
Teresa graduated summa cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis in 2009. She began her career at McKinsey & Company in Dallas, with a focus on private equity due diligences and portfolio company work. She then moved to New York City in 2011 to join New Mountain Capital, a middle-market private equity firm with over $15 billion in AUM, where she became the first female vice president on the private equity team. She then spent several years with Platform Specialty Products, a highly acquisitive public company in the specialty chemicals space, running the integration of the three agricultural chemicals businesses Platform had acquired. She later ran R&D strategy for those businesses, driving the investment process for and management of $100 million in annual spend. She joined GLG in 2018.
Teresa lives in NYC with her husband and 1-year-old daughter.

Advice for her 20 year old self:
It's important to find ways to help yourself stay focused on the things you can control, and to try not to worry too much about the things you can't. Ultimately, if you're doing the best you can every day to build something great, good things will happen.
